Obituary

Adrian Michael Bertram, 73, of St. Cloud, Wisconsin passed away after a lingering battle with cancer on Friday, November 22, 2024. He was born on February 7,1951 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI to Alois and Marie (Pitzen) Bertram of St. Peter, Wisconsin. He attended grade school at St. Peter Catholic Church and graduated from St. Mary's Springs High School in 1969. Throughout his years he was a member and served in lead roles with various community and sporting organizations

Adrian lovingly chose Nancy (Koenigs) to become his wife on April 8, 1983, at St. Cloud Catholic Church. Together they were blessed with three children. Through 41 years of marriage, they always cherished family time together and time spent with their nine wonderful grandchildren. His grandchildren loved nothing more than his Saturday morning pancake breakfasts, and yearly Christmas cookie baking traditions.

To many of his friends, he was affectionately known as "Benny". He was a proud transportation driver for Tom Ottery hauling milk and for more than 29 years at Zurheide Ice Cream of Sheboygan. He finished out his career, driving truck and working in the tin shop for JF Ahern out of Fond du Lac. He took great pride in his work each day and always had a smile and a friendly greeting for all his fellow employees, customers and those he interacted with. He enjoyed his Saturday morning polka radio station, fishing, sturgeon spearing, and spending time with his family and neighbors.

Adrian is greatly missed by his wife Nancy; son Ben (Amy) Bertram of New Franken, WI, son Andy (Irene) Bertram of Hudson, WI, daughter Kristin (Briant) Fruth of Zumbrota, MN; grandchildren Owen, Grant and Reagan Bertram; Jack, Hunter, Easton and Ava Bertram; and Patrick and Brinna Fruth. He is further survived by his brother Bob (Mary) Bertram of Adrian, MI, sister Agnes (John) Schmitz of St. Cloud, and his sister-in law Mary Anne Bertram of St. Peter. In his final days he was surrounded with love and support by many of his friends, family and neighbors.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, a sister (Mary), brother (Richard) and mother and father-in-law, Edwin and Mildred Koenigs.
