Alfred "Al" J. Diedrich JR. Alfred "Al" J. Diedrich Jr., age 83, formerly of St. Cloud, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. He was born December 10, 1928 in St. Cloud to the late Alfred Diedrich SR. and Emma (Sippel) Diedrich. Al attended St. Cloud grade school and graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1947. Al worked the family farm in the Town of Forest for 8 years. He then worked for 18 years with Moorman Feeds and for the past 20 years prior to retiring, he owned Maple Valley Art Gallery. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish, St. Cloud Church. Also, he was a member of the Winnebago East Shore Lions Club, D. U. Between the Lake's, D.U. Sponsor Between the Lake's, Between the Lake's Muskies, White tails Unlimited, Riverside Hunting & Fishing, Northern Turkey's, National Rifle Association, 4-H Leader for many years, and a former member of the Holstein Association. He was a Card Club participant for 58 years. Survivors include his 2 brothers, Mark Diedrich of Green Bay and Joseph (Peggy) Diedrich of Fond du Lac; 5 sisters, Lorraine (Robert) Kohlman of St. Cloud, Mary Joan (Harold) Hellman of St. Cloud, Verna Bechard of New London, Norma Ausloos of Glenbeulah, and Kathleen (Eugene) Barr of Fond du Lac; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, John (Marlie) Diedrich and 3 infant brothers; 3 in-laws, Karen Diedrich, Leonard Ausloos and Dick Bechard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, April 30, 2012 at St. Isidore Parish St. Cloud Church 924 Main Street St Cloud. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be held in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street in St. Cloud on Monday afternoon from 3-6:00 PM when brief family rites will be held.
