Alice S. Bosma Schumacher Alice S. Bosma Schumacher, age 97, of Chilton, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in her home. The former Alice Grimm was born August 2, 1915 in the Town of Cato in Manitowoc County to the late Jacob & Claire (Cullen) Grimm. Alice graduated from Chilton High School and the ABC Business College in Appleton, WI. On August 1, 1940, she married John H. Bosma. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1983. On October 17, 1986, she married Lester Schumacher. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2006. Alice had served as a Deputy Treasurer for Calumet County. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Alice loved making quilts, reading, tending to her flowers, and was an avid bridge & card player. She and her husband enjoyed searching for antiques. Alice is survived by her three children, Harry (Ruth) Bosma of Arlington, TX, William (Deb) Bosma of Nevada, and Sarah (Mike) Thurwachter of Chilton, WI; six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. She is preceded by her parents; her first husband; her second husband; a brother, Harry Grimm and her sister Olive Zarnoth. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. New Holstein, WI. Inurnment will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in New Holstein.
