Alice L. Dins, age 93, of New Holstein, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Willowpark Place in New Holstein. The former Alice Mathes was born August 11, 1923, in the Town of New Holstein to Alwin & Katherine (Eichhorn) Mathes. Alice attended New Holstein Schools. On July 4, 1942, she married Elmer Dins. Elmer preceded her in death on December 14, 2011. Alice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Michael) Birosak of Huntley, IL; her grandson, Derek Birosak of Huntley, IL; a sister-in-law, Burnette Nisler of Mount Calvary; a brother-in-law, Norman Dins of New Holstein; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alwin & Katherine Mathes; her husband, Elmer Dins; a granddaughter, Jennifer Birosak; her sister, Florence Edwards and four brothers, Harvey Mathes, Eugene Mathes, Elmer Mathes and Gilbert Mathes. Per Alice's wishes, a private burial will be held in the New Holstein City Cemetery.
