Alice C. Heus, age 96, of Marytown passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary. The former Alice Steffes was born May 30, 1918, in the Town of Marshfield near St. Joe to the late Herman & Gertrude (Pickart) Steffes. On May 21, 1947, she married William W. Heus at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe; he preceded her in death on October 2, 1970. Alice had worked at the Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown and the Altar & Rosary Society. Survivors include her four children, Thomas Heus of Chilton, Terrance (Nancy) Heus of Kiel, Daniel (Naomi) Heus of Mount Calvary and Ann Heus of Marytown; two grandchildren, William Heus and his fiancé, Megan and Sabrina (Robb) Holden; her sister, Corinne Enders of St. Cloud; her sister-in-law, Marian Steffes of St. Joe; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Gertrude Steffes; her husband, William; three sisters, Rose Koenigs, Hildegarde Steffes and Ann Koenigs and her brother, Victor Steffes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown (N10232 County Road G New Holstein, WI 53061). Rev. Joseph Coerber will officiate. Alice will be laid to rest next to her husband in the parish cemetery.
