Alvin T. Gross, 73, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
He was born October 8, 1943 in New Holstein to the late Alvin E. & Dorothy (Stenz) Gross. Alvin graduated from New Holstein High School in 1961. He attended UW-Milwaukee prior to being drafted. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from August 1966 until August 1968.
He had worked at the former Gilson Bros in Plymouth, S & R Cheese in Plymouth and Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein.
Al was a member of the New Holstein American Legion Post 124.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary (Bill) Schleh of Valders and Martha (Jeno) Thuecks of Fond du Lac; his sisters-in-law, Lois Gross of Newburg and Doris Gross of Kiel. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin E. and Dorothy Gross; his brothers, Gerald Gross and Steven Gross.
Services will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061. Military Rites conducted by State Military Honors in conjunction with the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 will follow.
