Alvin F. Hills, age 86, of Manitowoc, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Froedert Holy Family Memorial Hospital.

Alvin was born on April 24, 1940 near Danberry, WI. He was raised by his Grandpa & Grandma Anton & Ellen Schleis. Alvin married Katherine Peters on November 7, 1959 at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in Forestville. She preceded him in death on October 7, 2012.

Alvin worked at Kasson Cheese for a long time while also farming in the Town of Cato, and he then worked at Universal Wire until his retirement. They moved to Reedsville for a time and then moved to Manitowoc in 1994. Alvin would do what Katherine wanted to do. They loved fishing together on Lake Michigan, tending their flower garden, garage sales, and spending time with all of their grandchildren.

He is survived by his children and spouses: Jackie Hills of Green Bay, Tony (Melanie) Hills of Reedsville, Kim (Pat) Blashka of Reedsville, and Shane (Sarah) Hills of rural Whitelaw; grandchildren: Joshua (Jamie) Winkel, Matthew (Alison) Hills, Naomi Wilson, Shawn (Emybeth) Hills, Ryan Blashka and Amanda Blashka; great grandchildren: Romeo, Kamario, and Kalani Winkel, Rosalynn, Mathias, and Kayleigh Hills, Nolan and Eden Wilson, and Briggs and Berkley Hills; one sister: Penny (Pete) Camacho of Black Rivers Falls; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John (Wanda) Peters of Madison; sisters-in-law: Ann Pilgrim of Kewaunee and Marcy Hills; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents; siblings and in-laws: Fred Hills, Alfred (Nancy) Hills, Margaret (John) Jagieno, Dorothy (Charles) Kalies, Alice Meyer, a young brother; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Leota Peters; in-laws: Gary Pilgrim, Andrew (Millie) Kessenich, William (June) Peters, Sue (Wayne) Warner, Jean (David) Pederson, Blanche (Gene) Birkham, Ingra (Gerald) LaGrave, and other relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Pielhop Funeral Home, 15 N. 7th St. in Reedsville. Officiating at the service for those who mourn will be Rev. Beck Goldbeck. Cremation has occurred and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
