Ambrose C. Freund, age 80, of Malone "Marytown", passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary where he resided for the past two weeks. He was born September 1, 1941, in the Town of Taycheedah to Anton & Rose (Diederichs) Freund. On June 14, 1969, he married Joanne Geiser at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. In his early working years, Ambrose worked hauling milk for various companies. Later on, Ambrose along with his wife and daughters operated their dairy and beef cattle farm in the Town of Calumet near Marytown. In addition, he worked at the former Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; his four daughters, Amy (Jeff) Mand of Malone, Angela (Eric) Kremer of rural New Holstein "Marytown", Paula (Brad) Thelen of Malone "Marytown", and Rose Freund (Greg Hartman) of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Adam Freund, Logan Kremer, Austin Kremer, Aiden Kremer, Brady Thelen, and Paige Thelen. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer and his parents. Private services were held with the immediate family.
