Angela "Angie" M. Burg, 90, formerly of New Holstein and St. Joe died Monday, June 7, 2010 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. The former Angie Steffes was born May 27, 1920 in St. Joe to the late John & Amelia Bittner Steffes. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School in St. Joe. On November 25, 1941 she married John F. Burg at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe. The couple farmed in the St. Joe area until moving to New Holstein in 1980. Her husband preceded her in death on July 17, 2005. Angie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe and the Christian Women's Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Survivors include her ten children, James (Dottie) Burg of Waukesha, Gale (Sue) Burg of Fond du Lac, Mary (Jim) O'Connor of Hoffman Estates, IL, Threse Reinhardt of Marion, Iowa, Jane (Mike) McAbee of Manitowoc, Bill (Michelle) Burg of Nashotah, WI, Renee (Mark) Leibham of Manitowoc, Colleen (Brian) Swirth of Mukwonago, Robert (Lynne) Burg of Sarasota, FL and Anthony (Denise) Burg of St. Cloud; 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorleen Kleinfeldt of Elkhart Lake; four brothers, Roland (Sally) Steffes of St. Cloud, Julian (Rosemary) Steffes of St. Cloud, Paul (Martha) Steffes of New Berlin and Ralph (Darlene) Steffes of LaCrosse, WI; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Steffes of Fond du Lac and Marge Steffes of Kiel and a brother-in-law, Francis Hall of Byron. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John F. Burg; a daughter, Joan Griffin; her sister, Myrtle Hall; two brothers, Cletus Steffes and David Steffes; a brother-in-law, Orvin Kleinfeldt and her husbands brothers & sisters and their spouses. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe (W620 County Road G St. Cloud). Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. and Rev. Michael Bertram OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 4-8 PM and again at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9-10:30 AM when brief family rites will be held. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Friday evening at 8:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
