Anita D. Draheim, age 99, formerly of Collins, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Frontida in Kimberly.
Anita was born on June 6, 1920 in the town of Rantoul, daughter of the late Carl and Ida (Bessert) Klessig. On April 14, 1945, she married Elmer A. Draheim at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1998. Anita loved farming with her husband Elmer until their retirement. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning fruits and vegetables from her large garden, sewing and various craft projects, playing cards and traveling. Anita was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. She was very active at church in the Ladies Aide, and she also was active with the Manitowoc Farm Bureau, Collins Senior Citizens, and the Homemakers Association.
She is survived by her children: Wayne (Joyce) Draheim of Valders, Donna Jackson of Kimberly, Rodney (Eileen) Draheim of Duvall, and Darlene (Denis) Haese of Chilton; 10 grandchildren: Troy Theel, Chris (Jodi) Jackson, Tim Jackson and fiancee’ Carrie, Jeff Jackson and special friend Trudy, Amy Jackson, Adam (Dawn) Draheim, Anne (Michael) Pardee, Renae Draheim, Tamra (Will) Perry, and Jesse (Amanda) Haese; great-grandchildren: Tre’, Van, Elsa, Brandon, Payton, Zane, Kane, Trey, Kyle, Donovan, Donovan, Isaiah, Jaden, Parker, Jack, Ben, Sam, Hailee, Wyatt, Kylee, Alayna, and Gavin; one sister-in-law: Olive Draheim; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, one brother: Alfred Klessig one sister and five brothers-in-law: Lillian (Eldor) Hahn, Elroy Draheim, Wilbur (Margie) Draheim, Allan (Leona) Draheim, and Harvey (Irma) Draheim.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Weiss. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
