Obituary

Ann Elizabeth Meyers, age 79, of Chilton, passed away with her loving family surrounding her on June 23, 2018 at Caring Hands Assisted Living in New Holstein. Ann Hartmann was born twelfth of thirteen children on November 24, 1938 in St. Anna to Edward and Elizabeth (Dorn) Hartmann. She attended St. Anna Catholic grade school and New Holstein High School. She worked at the Salvatorian Center, St. Nazianz until her marriage on October 25, 1958 to Gervase Meyers at St Anna Catholic Church in St Anna. The couple farmed side by side until their retirement. Her pride and joy were her 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Ann enjoyed accompanying Gervase to their cabin up north, the Little Green Shack. Ann was a member and active in the Christian Mothers of St Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg until its closing and is presently a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein. Survivors include her husband Gervase of almost 60 years, five children; Paul (Ann) Meyers of Charlesburg and their children Kristin (Joe) Birschbach, Emily (boyfriend, Corey) Meyers and Kari (Robert) Fehling; Lori (Dave) Turney of New Holstein and their children Danielle Turney, Bill (Kristin) Turney and Randi (boyfriend, Billy) Turney; Kathy (Dave) Daun of Brillion and their children Jonathan (Meaghan) Daun, Brendan Daun and Rachel (Taylor) Geiger; Linda (John) Ohlinger of New Holstein and their children Jacob (Angela) Ohlinger and Katherine Ohlinger; Annette (Dave) Wirtz of St. Peter and their children Sara (Josh) Lewis and Lauren Wirtz; her great-grandchildren; Henry & Nora Birschbach, Leah Turney and Emily Daun. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Al (Pat) Hartmann, Adam (Anita) Hartmann, Sr. Therese Hartmann and Hugo (Delores) Hartmann; her sisters-in-law, Mutzie Hartmann and Gladys Hartmann; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Anna Marie (Ed) Jost, Loretta (Harold) Baer, Adella Anhalt, LeRoy (Pat) Meyers, Pauline (Joe) Geiser and Julie Meyers; also by nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; her siblings and sisters-in-law, Sr. Monica Hartmann, Herman Hartmann, Sr. John Hartmann, George Hartmann, Sr. Edward Hartmann, Frank (Loretta) Hartmann, Fred Hartmann and Ed (Patricia) Hartmann; brothers-in-law, Ralph Meyers and Paul Anhalt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Parish, 1724 Madison Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery following Mass. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein, WI 53061 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2018 and again on Friday, June 29 from 9:00 AM-10:15 AM at church. The family would like to thank: The Calumet County nurses and aide who helped care for her over the years: Karen, Tamra, Melanie and Brenda; her new friends from Caring Hands Assisted Living; Fr. Harry for his daily visits and prayers. Lastly, the family will never forget the tender love, compassion and care she received at Caring Hands from Jeanne and the entire staff.
