Ann C. Svatek, age 97, formerly of Reedsville, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Unity Hospice in DePere, Wisconsin. Ann was born in the Town of Maple Grove on October 29, 1913, daughter of the late John and Anne (Spatchek) Miller. She attended St. Marys Grade School in Brillion, and graduated from Brillion High School. Ann was united in marriage to Edward Svatek on May 7, 1941 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Brillion with the late Rev. Frank Svatek officiating. Edward preceded her in death on July 24, 2010. Ann was a member of Holy Family Parish, Brillion, St. Anns Christian Women, the American Legion Auxillary, the Capital Civic Center, and the Beacon Society of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. She enjoyed employment in the kitchen at Reedsville High School, cooking at Reed-way Sportsman Club, gardening, and crocheting. Ann is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law: Audrey and Don Salzbrun, Green Bay, Jeanne and Jim Einberger, Whitelaw, and Inez Schaefer, Phoenix, and Al Bolle, Green Bay; one son: Rick Svatek, Parker, CO; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother: Alfred Miller, Brillion, one sister-in-law: Rosema Svatek, Minnesota; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Mary Sue Bolle, three sisters, seven brothers, and in-laws. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Matt Simonar. Burial at St. Marys Cemetery in Reedsville, will follow the luncheon.
