Arlene F. Kestell, age 89, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013, at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan.
The former Arlene Stenz was born December 19, 1923, to the late Corbin and Olivia (Freund) Stenz.
On February 9, 1946, she married Donald H. Kestell at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Donald preceded her in death on June 27, 2002.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and the New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her two sons, Jeffrey (Roberta) Kestell of Orlando, FL and James (Linda) Kestell of Livingston, TX; her daughter, Julie Kestell of Evans, CO; her son-in-law, James (Gail) Diedrich of New Holstein; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Joseph, Robert, Laurie, Timothy, and kristy; and her sisters-in-law, Pauline Stenz of Oshkosh, Kate Ettlie of Franklin, WI, and Mary (Dick) Wilson of Virginia.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Corbin and Olivia Stenz; her step-mother, Ann (Hess) Stenz; her husband, Donald Kestell; a daughter, Jane Diedrich; a grandson, Michael; her brother, Corbin Stenz; three sisters, Olive Stenz, Dorothy (Alvin) Gross, and Sarah (Thomas) Casper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Burial will take place in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in New Holstein.
Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
The New Holstein American Legion Auxiliary will conduct services at the church Saturday morning at 9:45 AM.
