Beatrice Ruth Behnke

Beatrice Ruth Behnke, age 90, of Brillion, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. Beatrice was born on August 31, 1922 in the town of Rantoul, daughter of the late August and Ella (Wesner) Enneper. On April 29, 1939 she married Lester Popp. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1959. Beatrice then married Robert Behnke on April 27, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2006. Beatrice farmed with her husband on the family farm in the town of Rantoul. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion and the Trinity Ladies Aide. Beatrice is survived by her children: Gerald (Dianna) Popp of Brillion and Audrey Gruett of Potter; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Margaret Martens of Sheboygan; one brother: August Enneper of Utah; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Harlan Gruett, a granddaughter Becky Popp, and a great-grandson Matthew Popp. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jonathan Bourman. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
