Bernice M. Welch, age 89, of Brillion died on Friday, March 22, 2013 at West Haven of Brillion. She was born June 28, 1923 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Flach) Jaeger. She attended parochial school and was a 1941 graduate of Lutheran High. Bernice was the personal secretary to the vice president of Gimbels in Milwaukee. She moved to Brillion and in 1980 was the secretary for the Brillion Police Department. After 11 months in that position, Bernice went to work for Kasson Cheese, Inc. and worked in the office until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Survivors include 2 daughters, Judith (William) Goodridge of Brooklyn, NY, Susan (Mark) Raschka of Menasha, a son Michael (Cheryl) Welch of Brillion, 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Clyde Aiken, who is Judith's father, who was killed in action during WWII in 1944. Norman Wruck, who is Susan's father, who died of Leukemia in 1950. Warren Welch, who is Michael's father, who died in 1996. Also proceeding Bernice in death is an infant daughter Patti Lynn who died in 1956. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Jonathan Bourman and Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 1:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. with the funeral to follow at 6:00 P.M.
