Berthilda "Bertie" C. Brenner, 86, of Mount Calvary died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac surrounded by her family. The former Bertie Kolbe was born December 12, 1924 in the Town of Charlestown to the late John & Katherine Juckem Kolbe. She attended St. Martin's Catholic School in the Town of Charlestown. On October 4, 1950, she married Harold Brenner at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Charlestown. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary and its Christian Mothers Society and a member of Catholic Knights. Survivors include her husband, Harold of Mount Calvary; her daughter, Rose (Stan) Klapperich of Marytown; her four sons, Joseph (Joan) Brenner of Mount Calvary, Herman (Deb) Brenner of Chilton, Norbert (Cathy) Brenner and Peter (Cindy) Brenner both of Mount Calvary; 16 grandchildren, Jenny Gundlach, Ryan Klapperich, Jason Brenner, Jamie Brenner, Joseph Brenner Jr., Jacob Brenner, Pam Berres, Doug Brenner, Nick Brenner, Kayla Brenner, Kelly Brenner, Steven Brenner, Maria Brenner, Tyler Brenner, Colin Brenner, and Hailey Brenner; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Leonard Kolbe; her two sisters, Sally Trimberger and Dorothy (Rudy) Brenner; her in-laws, Grace Kolbe, Janice Kolbe, Jeanette Brenner, and Vincentia Steffes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Arthur Kolbe, Roman (Rose) Kolbe, and Andrew (Alice) Kolbe; her sister, Ottilia (Alfred) Daun; her brother-in-law, Mike Trimberger; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kolbe; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, John & Rosa Brenner; her in-laws, Ann Petrie, Regina (Herman) Wirtz, Minnie (John) Widmer, Louis Steffes, Leo (Marie) Brenner, Walter Brenner, Albin Brenner, and Bernard Brenner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church 308 County Road W in Mount Calvary. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
