Obituary

Betty P. (Wilberscheid) Busse, age 94, of New Holstein, passed away peacefully at Caring Hands Assisted Living on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, and beautiful soul. With heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes, we were there with her until her passing.

She was born February 12, 1932, in Charlesburg, a daughter of the late John & Margaret (Thielman) Wilberscheid.

Betty graduated from New Holstein High School in 1950. After graduating, she had worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in the office.

Together, Betty & Carl operated the Redwood Bar for one year and then 7 Corners Bar for 20 years. Following the sale of 7 Corners, she worked at the Calumet Homestead for 16 years until she retired.

Betty was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. In her earlier years, she enjoyed trap shooting, bowling, reading, and was a very loyal Brewers and Packer fan.

Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Schmidlkofer of New Holstein and Debbie (Steve) Casper of Sheboygan. She is further survived by many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
