Betty J. (Muellenbach) Coffeen, 64, of New Holstein died Thursday February 11, 2010 at the Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born June 30, 1945 in the Town of Marshfield in Fond du Lac Co. to the late Orville and Annie Pickart Muellenbach. Betty graduated from New Holstein High School in 1963. On May 7, 1977 she married Edward Coffeen.
Betty had worked at Bordens in Plymouth for 45 years. She retired July 2, 2009.
She was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud.
Survivors include her sisters and brother, Mary (James) Pieper of New Holstein, Bob (Kathy) Muellenbach of St. Cloud and Lori (Brian) Engler of Eden; eight nieces and nephews, Tammy Stark, Tom Pieper, Sara Jacobs, Christopher Muellenbach, Jason Muellenbach, Jeremy Muellenbach, Kimberly Engler and Riley Engler and eight great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; an infant sister, Jane Lynn and a great nephew, Cody Lechler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday February 15, 2010 at St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud on Monday afternoon from 3-6:30 PM when brief family rites will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Willowdale Nursing Home Staff, the Calumet County Home Health Care and Hospice, Dr. Jeffrey Strong, the staff at the Wisconsin Cancer Center in Fond du Lac and to Betty's special friends that were there for her during her illness.
