Betty J.
Krause
Nov 12, 1936 — Aug 30, 2022
Betty Krause, loving Mother, age 85 of New Holstein Wisconsin, has gone home to meet the Lord. Betty passed away on Aug. 30th at Century Ridge Assisted Living in Chilton. She was born in Nov. 1936 to Harold and Lorraine Schenkus. Betty was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein.
In Sept. of 1953 Betty married Robert Lefeber and had 5 children; Vicky Head (Jim), Randy Lefeber, Tim Lefeber (Julie), Tom Lefeber (Kathy), Rick Lefeber (Lisa); 4 grandchildren, Kelly Hunsader (Jason), Krystal Pfeifer (Chris), Brittany Lefeber; 4 great grandchildren, Grace Hunsader, Grant Hunsader, Reed Hunsader, Charlotte Pfeifer, and a little angel in heaven, Tyler Lefeber. The children in her life were the absolute and endless love in her life.
Working was Betty's hobby. In her younger years, she worked at the Canning factory, Aluminum plant, Dime store, and Hot lunch in the church basement of St. Mary's Church Stockbridge. Besides raising 5 children with her husband, she worked full time at Tecumseh in New Holstein for over 30 years. After retiring, she found her love for waitressing, working at Roepke's Village Inn for 11 years. She loved to keep busy and baking was talent she had. She was famous for her peanut squares. You would find some of her home made treats served at the Altona Supper Club on the Sunday buffet.
Betty loved to help others. She did so by visiting the shut ins with her friend Audrey and working at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. The Packers were another joy in her life. You could only call during half time if a Packer game was on.
Betty is survived by her Children; Grandchildren; and Great Grand Children; 2 sisters, Kay Hechel and Linda Edington; and 3 brothers, Terry Schenkus, Greg Schenkus (Sue), and Ted Schenkus (Alice).
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Harold; and a grandson Tyler.
Special thanks to all of the caring Angels at Century Ridge in Chilton and another angel, Courtney, from Sharon Richardson Hospice Care.
Betty will be missed by her family and all who knew her. We know she is happy in Heaven with the Lord.
Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but, by how many moments that take our breath away. Thanks for being our Mom.
There will be a private Mass celebrated at Holy Rosary at a later date.
