Betty Miller (Engelking, Whorrall) was born to Sarah Engelking (Priske), and William (Will) Engelking in Hubbard Iowa on March 14, 1932. She was one of three girls (sisters Joyce and Patricia). Betty was the "outside" girl, spending her time helping her father driving tractors and making hay, while enjoying herself by riding horses, shooting her dad's shotgun, & just enjoying the outdoors. Betty spoke about the farm in just about any conversation you had, & always had a new story to tell. Betty Married twice, first to Richard Glenn Whorrall, a salesman for Ford Motor company with whom she had three children, Christine Lee, David Roy, and Wendy Sue. Shortly before their 25 anniversary they divorced and Betty move west to Arizona where she lived for a time with her mother Sarah and for a time with her Daughter Wendy. She married Richard Miller who was retired from the military and with whom they travelled around the west enjoying the mountains, the ocean, and the forests. Betty divorced Dick and moved back with her mother until her mother passed, and then moved back to Wisconsin to be near her daughter Chris and son Dave. She stayed in Wisconsin until passing away in Oak Creek Assisted Living in Kiel, Wisconsin. Betty will always be remembered as having a passion for family, faith, nature, and the poor, especially the physically or mentally challenged whom she helped throughout her life. She also was especially caring to the Native American communities and sent aid to various tribes throughout her life. She was a person of Faith loving the United Church of Christ. Betty passed down her Faith, her love of animals, of nature, and the needy to her children and friends. She was a great lover of the small farm, the Packers and Bucks. In her late years at Oak Creek she spent her time both loving and tormenting the staff (and salesmen) in Oak Creek, and was noted for her beautifully decorated room. Anyone knowing Betty throughout her life would all come up with the same word-spitfire. She is greatly missed, and at peace in the arms of God. Survivors include: Her Daughter, Christine (John) Olson of North Fort Meyers, Florida, with grandchildren Rich, Matthew, and Sarah Olson (fiancé Jake Provan), her Son, David (Martha) Whorrall, of New Holstein, Wisconsin with granddaughters Kimberly Singleton (great grandchildren Finlay & Rory Mae) and Erin (Jose) Rodriguez (great grands Mateo and Julian), her Daughter, Wendy (Allen) Woods with grandson Sean (Wilson); and her Sister Joyce H Green. Preceding her in death were her parents; her 1st husband, Richard Glenn Whorrall; her 2nd husband, Dick Miller; her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Ray) Westergren and brother-in-law, John Green.
