Betty J. Walt

Betty J. Walt, age 86, of Reedsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Aurora BayCare, Green Bay.

Betty was born on February 12, 1938 in Cato, daughter of the late Reinhart & Leona (Zahn) Zipperer, Sr. She was a graduate of Reedsville High School. On September 21, 1956, she married Charles “Charlie” Walt at St. John St. James Ev. Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death by March 21, 2017. Betty was employed at Sargento for many years. She also was a member of St. John St. James Ev. Lutheran Ladies Aide. Betty enjoyed flower gardening, knick-knack collecting, baking cookies and candy, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Randy (Pam), Ric (Lynette), Scott (Su), Terry (Nancy), and Tami Jo; grandchildren: Sara (fiancé Scott), Curtis (Melissa), Brian (Tamika), Joshua, and Jesse (Tiffany); many great grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law: Sandie & Mike Dewane; sisters-in-law: Brenda Zipperer and Darlene Zipperer-Sheehy; other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie; siblings: Allan “Chico” Zipperer, Roland “Rollie” Zipperer, Reinhart (Laura) Zipperer; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ellis Walt and Bernice (Sonnabend) Denk; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Madonna (Glenroy) Kleinhans; and other relatives.

Private Family Funeral Services will be held.
