Brianna Lyn (Halat) Sturzl, age 37, of Aurora, IL, lost her battle with Metastatic breast cancer on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at home.
She was born May 17, 1983, daughter of Richard Halat and Jill (Keller-Halat) Dowland at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. Brianna was baptized and confirmed at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction. She graduated from Brillion High School class of 2001 and the University of Wisconsin - Stout in Menomonie, WI, class of 2005. Brianna married the love of her life, Kenneth “Kenny” Sturzl, on January 2, 2019, and then again in Cancun, Mexico on January 24, 2019. She loved to travel, and Mexico was one of her special places. Brianna worked over 20 years at The Buckle store, the last 14 years in management. She had a remarkable memory, and her clients would tell you that she remembered them, their style, and what they purchased, no matter the time between visits. Brianna was beautiful, hard-working, thoughtful, kind, and caring person, and she loved helping people. She took particular care to details in all that she did. Brianna is survived by her husband: Kenny Sturzl of Aurora, IL.; her parents: Richard Halat of Appleton and Jill (Rick) Dowland of Forest Junction; her siblings: Greg (Somer) Halat of Fitchburg, Kylea (Rocky) Braden of Forest Junction; nephew: Henry Braden of Forest Junction. Brianna is also survived by her father-in-law: Stu (Karen) Sturzl of Plymouth; mother-in-law: Carrie Reuhl of Jefferson, sister-in-law: Joanne (fiance' Kyle Kube) Reuhl of Watertown; brother-in-law: Eric Reuhl of Watertown; step-brother-in-law: Jason (Nicole) Eigenberger of Plymouth; and step-sister-in-law: Geri Eigenberger of Santa Fe, NM, other relatives, and many friends.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Season’s Hospice in Aurora, IL for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank her best friend Jamie who has been so helpful and supportive of and for both Brianna and Kenny.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Zion United Methodist Church in Forest Junction. Officiating will be Pastor Sang Yeoul. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) until the time of the service.
