Brittany Lea Behnke, 33, of Springfield Mo. passed away Friday, September 2, 2022.
Brittany was born on September 9, 1988, in Euless, TX. On November 26, 1988 Brittany was baptized at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion WI., and confirmed June 1st 2003 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Edmond OK. On May 22, 2007, Brittany graduated from Glendale High School, Springfield MO. with Honors, also receiving a scholarship to Missouri State College. After high school, Brittany attended Missouri State while working at Sam’s Club. In February of 2011 Brittany enlisted in the US Navy. She started her Navy career at the Naval Boot Camp in Great Lakes IL. While there she worked hard to the achieve the rank of E-3, Seamen. Upon graduation she was stationed at the Naval Air Training Station, Pensacola FL. for additional schooling and training. While there she reached the rank of E-4, Petty Officer 3rd class. From there Brittany received orders sending her to Naval air station Oceana, Virginia Beach VA., working with the F-18 test cell group. Two years later she received orders moving her to the Naval Air Station in Norman, OK. working with the Navy Air Wing based there. Brittany was very proud to have achieved the rank of E-4, Petty Officer 3rd Class before leaving the service.
After leaving the Navy, Brittany worked at T-Mobile, Cox Health, Walmart and Amazon. She loved playing soccer, all animals, reading large novels, watching movies and playing musical instruments. Guitar and violin were her instruments of choice. Her football team of choice was the Dallas Cowboys. She was very much loved, and a very happy caring person, full of smiles and love to share with all and will be greatly missed. We LOVE you Brittany.
Survivors include her parents Steve and Brenda Behnke of Springfield MO., her Sister and Husband Ashley and Mark McNerney, her niece Madelyn McNerney all of Fair Grove, MO., along with 3 loving Uncle’s and Aunt’s, 6 cousin’s and countless friends.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 7, 2023 at the Brillion Community Cemetery, Brillion, WI. with Pastor Joshua Brandmahl officiating.
