Obituary

Carl Henry Radandt, age 79, of New Holstein, went to be with his Lord following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, with his family at his side at Willowdale Care Center in New Holstein, where he resided for the past 6 ½ months. He was born June 4, 1940, on a farm in Manitowoc County to the late Clarck & Irene (Schlies) Radandt. Carl graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc in 1958. He served in the U. S. Army from 1963-1965. Carl worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 43 years retiring from there in 2006. After his retirement at Tecumseh, he worked as a greeter for ten years at Walmart in Chilton, retiring in 2017. On December 10, 1966, he married Patricia Ann Stephan at Salem (Plankroad) United Church of Christ in Plymouth. They made their home in New Holstein. Carl and Patricia celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary in 2019. Carl was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein. He belonged to the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 for 53 years; serving as a past commander. He also belonged to the New Holstein Fire Department for 20 years and belonged to Senior Citizens in New Holstein. He enjoyed playing dartball, horseshoes, bean bags, bowling, playing cards, dancing, listening to Polka music and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; his six children, Kristina Radandt of New Holstein, Steven Radandt of New Holstein, Jeffrey (Karen) Radandt of New Holstein, Lisa (Thomas) Schultz of Green Bay, Carla (Daniel) Biese of rural Chilton, and Eric (Stephanie) Radandt of "Marytown" New Holstein; 14 grandchildren, Colton, Kyle, Cody, Caiden, Connor, & Jake Radandt, Madeline, Joshua, & Micah Schultz, Cheyenne & Austin Belflower, Ethan & Owen Biese, and Toby Radandt; his sisters-in-law, Jan Radandt, Jean (Jack) Kohls, and Joanne Bird; his brother-in-law, Dennis (Sandra) Stephan. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Clarck & Irene Radandt; his brother, Harold Radandt; a niece, Debra Radandt; a nephew, Donald Radandt; and his father-in-law & mother-in-law, John & Ivalyn Stephan. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1702 Van Buren Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Azor Cigelske will preside. Military Rites conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 and State Military Honors will take place at the church following the service. Carl will be laid to rest in the Country View Cemetery in the Town of New Holstein. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Carl's family at Zion Lutheran Church on Monday, January 20th from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Carl's family would like to thank Rebecca, Alyssa, Faye, and Barbara from the Calumet County Home Health & Hospice Agency and the nurses and staff of Willowdale for the wonderful care accorded to him during his stay. Also to Grace Flora for her visits and the volunteers who took him for a ride on the Trishaw; which he loved.
