Carol "Grammy" Winrich

Carol Marie Winrich, age 78, of Reedsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Carol was born on November 29, 1939 in Chippewa Falls, daughter of the late Harold and Lois (Harbick) Frayer.  She was a graduate of Chippewa Falls High School, class of 1958.  Carol was a stay at home mom until 1978 when she completed her Certified Nursing Assistant schooling. She worked at Cook-Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls. This later became a part of the Wissota Healthcare group. She worked for 31 years caring for the elderly, until her retirement in 2011.  In 2011 she moved to Reedsville to assist her son Michael with his young family. She enjoyed reading, genealogy, Wisconsin History, and spending time with her friend, family, and grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her four children: Anne (David) Fords of Tyler, Texas, Michael of Reedsville, Wisconsin, Peggy Stueber of Waukesha, Wisconsin, and Karl of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren: Jennifer (Dan) Hoeflinger, Rosie Winrich, Matthew, Katherine, Lauren, Carolyn, and Mitchell Winrich, and Ben and Josh Stueber; her sister and brother-in-law: Joyce (William) Turecek of Stanley, WI; her brother and sister-in-law: Peter (Lana) Frayer of Chippewa Falls, WI; father of her children: Barry Winrich; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter-in-law: Karen (Warpinski) Winrich, and three infant grandchildren, Meghan Louisa and twins Marian and Joseph.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion.  Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Timothy Brandt.  Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Friday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) until 1:45 p.m.
