Carri Ann Burkart, age 54, a Reedsville resident, died Monday evening, December 12, 2022 at St. Mary’s Home, Manitowoc.
She was born on April 16, 1968 in Manitowoc, daughter of Thomas & Patricia “Pat” (Wachal) Burkart. Carri graduated from Riverview School, Manitowoc, in 1989. She was employed at Holiday House in Manitowoc until August 2019. Carri enjoyed bowling, camping with family, the Green Bay Packers, go karting in the woods, and motorcycle rides. She also enjoyed traveling with her Aunt Mary and volunteering with the Wisconsin Paralyzed Veterans by pushing wheelchairs. Her genuine smile was very infectious!
Survivors include her parents: Tom & Pat Burkart, Reedsville; her aunts and uncles: Mary (Tim) Fintelmann, Newton, Paul (Janise) Burkart, Bruce Crossing, MI., Jan (Nick) Schiesel, Menchalville, Karyl Schaefer, Brillion and Gene (Kay) Wachal, Brillion; and her many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and two uncles: Don Wachal and Jim Schaefer.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Father Tom Pomeroy and Deacon Mark Knipp.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s for all the love and care they gave her and to Homecare Health & Hospice. The Pielhop Wieting Funeral Homes of Brillion & Reedsville are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
