Charlene V. Steiner, age 73, of New Holstein, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Appleton, WI. She was born May 9, 1941 to the late Engelbert & Matilda (Will) Mischo. Charlene graduated from New Holstein High School in 1959. On October 24, 1959 she married Donald H. Steiner in St. Cloud. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Char and her husband owned and operated Don & Char's Triangle Bar for many years. She enjoyed sheepshead, embroidery, bingo and going to the Senior Center. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Don; her son, Steve (Janet) Steiner of New Holstein; grandchildren, Lisa Peterson (special friend Chuck Grosbier) of Hainesville, IL, and John (Nicole) Peterson of Bloomington, MN; great grandchildren, Rayyan Peterson, Noah Peterson, Stella Peterson, and Tessa Grosbier; sisters, Rita Mischo and Donna Entringer; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; mother & father in-law; 3 brothers; 1 sister; 5 brothers-in-law; and 3 sisters-in-law. A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave New Holstein, WI 53061. A private burial will take place in the Charlesburg cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until the time of Services. A Memorial Fund will be established in her name.
