Charles "Charlie" E. Sabel, age 62 of Mt. Calvary, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI. He was born June 5, 1953 to the late Edwin J. and Valeria (Holzmann) Sabel. Charlie attended Campbellsport High School and graduated in 1971. He worked at Michel's Pipeline until his retirement. Charlie was a member of St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary and a former member of Mt. Calvary Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his son, Eric (Jennifer) Sabel of Fond du Lac; daughter, Jessica (Brian) Breezer of Janesville; three grandchildren, Parker Sabel and Brayton and Graham Breezer; two brothers, James (Joanne) Sabel of Fond du Lac, Ronald (Mary) Sabel of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Cindy Bell of Fond du Lac, Carol (Steve) Bostwick of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by his former spouse, Jane, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edwin and Valeria Sabel; Godson, Kurt Sabel; and brother-in-law, Dave Bell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at St. Isidore Parish-Holy Cross Catholic Church 308 South County Road W, Mt. Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap. will officiate. Burial will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends may call at the Church in Mt. Calvary on Friday, May 27th, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 pm and again Saturday morning from 9-10:00 am. A Memorial fund will be established in his name.
