Charlotte L. Abler Charlotte L. Abler, age 77, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Mount Calvary, passed away at her home with her family at her side on Monday, June 25, 2012. The former Charlotte Seurer was born April 3, 1935 in Fond du Lac to the late Joseph & Alma (Haensgen) Seurer. She graduated from St. Mary's Spring Academy in 1953. On August 20, 1955, she married Othmar "Ottie" Abler in Fond du Lac. Ottie preceded her in death on February 26, 1996. Charlotte worked at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein for 38 years. She retired in 1997. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary and the Christian Women's Society. She loved traveling, reading, bird watching, and spending time with her family. Charlotte also enjoyed her occasional trips to the casinos. Survivors include her 3 children, Audrey Steger of Fond du Lac and her fiance' Ray Hoover, Debbie Koenigs-Gapp and her husband Loren Gapp of Arizona, and Karen (Bill) Hoier of New Holstein; 12 grandchildren, Jesse (Kayla) Steger, Jennifer Steger and her finance' Matthew Lemke, Jacqueline (Daniel) Fortner, Jeremy Steger, Jamie Steger, Shaun Steger and his fianc'e Krysten Van Egtern, Dustin Steger and his companion Katena Stilson, Amber (Luke) Fichtner, Ryan Koenigs, Kyle Koenigs, Matthew Hess, Bradley (Kimberly) Hess; 2 step grandchildren, Kevin Gapp and Jesse Hoier; 10 great grandchildren; her sister Trudy Bahr of Fond du Lac; her close Godson Bryan Bahr and his daughter Kaylee; her 4 legged companion, Peco; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Ottie; son-in-law, Rick Steger; 1 great granddaughter; 2 step grandchildren, Abby Hoier and Kenny Gapp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church 308 County Road W Mt. Calvary, WI. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap. will officiate. Entombment at the Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac, WI. Family and friends may call at St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church in Mount Calvary on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 PM and at Church Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until time of services.
