Charlotte P. Marshek, age 67, of W2728 County Road B, Hilbert, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 29, 1943 in Kewaunee, daughter of the late Elmer and Doris (Kittell) Pilgrim. She married Victor Marshek on November 16, 1963 in Carlton, WI. She farmed with her husband for many years and was also a loyal employee of the Michiels family restaurants, the Hilbert Meat Market and the Ariens Company until her illness. Charlotte is survived by her husband Vic, her children Kelly (Roger) Ruffing of Brillion, Scott Marshek of New Mexico, Kim (Terry) VandeHey of Greenleaf and Kerry (Jeff) Behnke of Brillion, eight grandchildren; Tori and Taylor Ruffing, Allyson, Morgan & Walker VandeHey and Jaclyn, Alexandra & Brock Behnke, three sisters; Shirley Pilgrim of Forest Junction, Bev (Gary) Frank of Denmark and LuAnn (Earl) Krueger of Brillion, one brother John (Donna) Pilgrim of Luxemburg, her in-laws; Shirley Marshek and Diane Genz both of Maribel, Geraldine Marshek of Brillion, Sherry (Glenn) Jahnke of Manitowoc as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Joan Abts and Lana Jalowiec and two brothers-in-law Tony Marshek and Edwin Genz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Reverend Ross Henzi will officiate. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and then again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
