Clarence L. Buechel, age 79 of Hilbert, died on Saturday March 1, 2014 at his home. He was born on January 30, 1935 in Jericho, son of the late Norbert & Hildegard (Theucks) Buechel. On June 11, 1960 he married Mariann Stecker at Peace Church in Potter. Clarence hauled milk, worked at Thielman Cheese in Charlesburg and several other factories in the Chilton area. After his marriage, Clarence bought a farm in the Town of Chilton and farmed there his entire life. He was a member of peace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Potter. Survivors include his wife Mariann, his sisters and brothers, Evelyn (Jerome) Schleicher of Oostburg, Wilmer (Betty) Buechel of Marytown, Leonard (Donna) Buechel of Chilton, Alvin (Jane) Buechel of Chilton, and Rita (Lyle) Wingers of Chilton, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hermie (Audrey) Stecker of Potter, Marilyn (Allen) Stache of Hilbert, Ambrose Lisowe of Marytown and many nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herman (Norma) Stecker, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Herb (Cleo) Stecker, Willie (Mae) Stecker, Lorna Lisowe, Helene Stecker and Norma Stecker. Funeral service will be held on Thursday March 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Potter. The Rev. Dr. Marc Axelrod will officiate.
