Clarence F. Wolf, age 96, of Brillion, passed away Wednesday morning, November 10, 2010 at St. Elizabeths Hospital, Appleton. Clarence was born in Brillion on October 29, 1914, son of the late Andrew and Ida (Bubolz) Wolf. On October 29, 1945 he married Johanna Bloedorn. Jo was his best friend and the love of his life. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2000. Clarence was a devote member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion and had served on the church council. As a child and young adult, Clarence was active in sports and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching the Wisconsin Badgers, the Milwaukee Brewers, and enjoyed watching and attending Green Bay Packer games. Clarence worked at the Ariens Company as a Production Control Manager. He was very active in politics. Clarence started his career as an alderman, and was then elected Mayor. He served the City of Brillion for 30 years. With this lengthy term, he became the Dean of Mayors for the State of Wisconsin. Clarence was also on the county board as supervisor and was a member of the League of Municipalities NE Planning Commission, the Brillion Optimist Club, and the Brillion Lions Club. Clarence is survived by his two sons and one daughter "in-law: Roger, Two Rivers and Warren and Diane, Onalaska; two granddaughters: Amanda, Milwaukee and Rachel (Scott) Lubug, Havre day Grace, Maryland; one sister-in-law: Betty Wolf, Brillion; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life: Jo; one daughter-in-law: Theresa Terry Wolf; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Harold Wolf and Harvey and Anita Wolf; other in-laws and friends. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. Officiating at the funeral service will be Revs. Ross Henzi and Jonathan Bourman. The family would like everyone attending to join them after the service for a celebration of Clarences life, food, and fellowship in the Commons at Trinity Lutheran Church. Following the luncheon, entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
