Clarice Emmeline Schulz, age 95, of Reedsville, passed away on Sunday evening, January 2, 2011, surrounded by her family. Clarice was born in Oregon, WI on July 19, 1915, daughter of the late Brevet & Laura (Christiansen) Johnson. She was a graduate of Elkhorn High School, class of 1932. Clarice then attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1936 with a degree in Education. Her first job led her to Princeton, IL. She then traveled back to Reedsville and taught on and off for a total of 25 years. In 1941, she married Milford N. Schulz in Elkhorn, WI. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1988. The couple also owned and operated Rolling Acres Suppy Co., in Reedsville. Clarice was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion, United Methodist Women, Reedsville Lions, WREA and NEA, Manitowoc County Retired Educators Association, and the Brillion Hattitudes. Milford and Clarice loved to travel throughout the world, and also hosted foreign exchange students over the years through AFS and the Lions. Survivors include her two daughters and one son-in-law: Renee (special friend Al Gulseth) Seiler,and Laura & Joel Larsen, all of Reedsville; Grandchildren: James M. (special friend Sue Evenson) Seiler, Renee (Dave) Schultz, Brevet (Christy) Larsen; great-grandchildren: Amber and Adam Seiler, Cecelia Covell, Wayne Eickert, and Garrett and Brevet Larsen; one great-granddaughter: Natalie; one sister: Alberta B. Streckert, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Clarice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milford, one sister: Lorraine C. Johnson, and other in-laws. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Susan Safford-Gaul. Burial will take place at Zion Evergreen Cemetery in Spring. Friends and family may call on Saturday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
