Darius Timothy Hershberger

Darius Timothy Hershberger, 39 days and a ½ hour old, passed away peacefully in his Mother’s arms on Saturday, November 23, 2024 surrounded by his family at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Darius was born at 10:26 p.m. on October 15, 2024, son of Dennis & Marilyn Hershberger.  Even though he was not on this earth for very long, Darius blessed the lives of his family and brought them much joy.

Darius is survived by his parents: Dennis & Marilyn Hershberger; their children: Charity Ruth, Grace Emmaline, Bethany Rose, Elijah Seth, and Malachi James; paternal grandparents: Joe & Laura Hershberger of Irvington, KY; paternal great-grandparents: Mose & Ada Keim of West Union, OH and Emma Hershberger of Peebles, OH; maternal grandparents: Perry & Delores Herschberger of Reedsville; maternal great-grandparents: Jonas & Miriam Schrock of Arcola, IL; paternal aunts and uncles: Lucinda (Joseph) Miller, Delbert (Tina) Hershberger, Timothy (Sarah) Hershberger, Joni, Emmaline, and Javan Hershberger; maternal aunts and uncles: Marcus (Rosanna) Herschberger, Ruth Maria (Eli) Delagrange, Clifford (Rhoda) Herschberger, Vernon (Rachel) Herschberger, Eldon (Ruby Ann) Herschberger, and Gerald (Elsie) Herschberger; many cousins, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by paternal great-grandfather: Atlee Hershberger; and maternal great-grandparents: Noah & Tillie Herschberger and Amanda Schrock; and great uncle: Gerald Schrock.

Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Marcus Kauffman’s Residence, 16814 Long Road in Reedsville, WI 54230.  Officiating will be Lyle Lengacher.  Burial will be at Friedens UCC Cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 26 at Marcus Kauffman’s Residence from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) until 4:00 p.m. and continue later that evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The Pielhop Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the Hershberger Family with arrangements.
