Obituary

David Michael Weber, age 67, of rural St. Cloud, passed away with his family at his side on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary. He was born November 18, 1954, to Georgine (Schneider) Weber and the late Lawrence Weber. Dave attended Holy Cross Catholic School in Mount Calvary and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1972. On November 3, 1973, he married Deb Daun at St. Cloud Catholic Church. Dave began his masonry career with Leroy Weber and moved on with Feldner Construction and finished his career with D & D Carpentry; after 48 years in the masonry trade, he retired in 2020. He received the Sheboygan County Mason of the year while he was employed with D & D Carpentry. When Dave's two sons began playing baseball & basketball, he proudly stepped in to be the coach for their teams. He also belonged to a couple of golf leagues with friends & family. Other past time enjoyments Dave was involved with were "Up North" outings with friends & family, camping, an occasional trip to the casino, and pulling a practical joke on people on April Fool's Day. Family was very important to Dave; his wife, kids, and grandsons meant the world to him. He was a member of the Mount Calvary Athletic Club. Survivors include his wife, Deb; his two sons, Chad (Sharon) Weber of St. Cloud & Corey "Red" (Cassie) Weber, of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Landon & Colton Weber; his mom, Georgine Weber of Mount Calvary; his sister, Debra (Tom) Haensgen of Mount Calvary; his brother, Kevin (Vickie) Weber of Mount Calvary; his brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, Doug (Jill) Daun of Glenbeulah, Dan Daun (special friend, LuAnn) of Sheboygan, Diane (Dr. Douglas) Fownes of Fond du Lac, and Don (Mary) Daun of St. Cloud; his step brothers-in-law & step sisters-in-law, Linda (John) Kiehnau of St. Cloud, Pat (Dennis) Schaefer of Charlesburg, Tim "Bernie" (Jill) Berenz of St. Cloud, and Joe (Barb) Berenz of St. Cloud. He is further survived by aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; his five Godchildren, James Brandt, Lynn Badtke, Melissa Steffes, Samantha Graham, and Kasey Weber; other relatives; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Lawrence Weber; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Willard & Darlene Daun; his sister-in-law, Sharon Daun; and his stepmother-in-law, Evie Daun. A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-Holy Cross Church, 308 S. County Road W, Mount Calvary, WI 53057. Rev. Randy Knauf, OFM Cap will officiate. Visitation: Family & friends may visit with Dave's family at the church in Mount Calvary on Monday, December 13th from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and visitation at the church Tuesday morning, December 14th from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Dave's family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation to the staff at the Fond du Lac Cancer Center, the staff at SSM 5 South, Hospice Hope, the Villa Loretto Nursing Home staff, as well as our family and friends for their care and compassion given to Dave and our family.
