Dean Bernard Geiger, age 67, of Brillion, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Crossroads Care Center in Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family.
Dean was born on April 15, 1951 in Green Bay, son of Katherine (Preston) Geiger and the late Bernard Geiger, Sr. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1969. On May 5, 1973, Dean married Deborah “Debbie” Wesener at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brillion. They celebrated 45 wonderful years of marriage. Dean started his working career at the Larson Company as a truck driver. He and Debbie then bought the Persohn Family Farm on Rusch Road, where they owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. Farming was his pride and joy. After selling the cows, Dean worked for Tri-County Farms, worked for the Town of Brillion, and also worked at Gruett’s in Potter. Dean enjoyed playing cards, tractor rides, going out to eat, and most importantly spending time with the family and grandchildren.
Dean will forever be remembered for his contagious laugh, heart-warming smile, and a spirit of gratefulness and joy.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Brillion; their children and families: Tony (Kari) and grandson: Grant of Brillion; Craig (Melissa) and grandchildren: Kaylee (special friend Luke Wiese) and Kobe of Brillion; Marcia (Tim) Roehrig and granddaughters: Lauren and Tessa of Chilton; his mother: Katherine Geiger of Brillion; siblings and in-laws: Sherry (Mike) Van Lanen of Appleton, Pat (Kim) Geiger of Brillion, David Geiger of Brillion, Mary Kay (Steve) Gruett of Potter, Buddy (Brenda) Geiger of Brillion; mother-in-law: Nancy Wesener of Brillion; other in-laws: Doug (Bonnie) Wesener of Brillion, Denise and the late Horton Dallmann of Hilbert, Dawn (Steve) Michael of Brillion, Donnie (Judy) Wesener of Chilton, Dennis Wesener (special friend Fran) of Sheboygan Falls, and Danielle (Paul) Heraly of Brillion; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard; his father-in-law: Armand Wesener; a brother-in-law: Horton Dallmann; and a nephew: Jonathan Geiger.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Pomeroy. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call to gather on Sunday afternoon, December 2, 2018 at church from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A prayer service will conclude the visitation. Visitation will continue on Monday morning at church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
