Delmar C. Richter, age 88, of N7751 Sunset Dr. in Brillion died on Wed. July 21, 2010. He was born on April 21, 1922 in the Town of Rantoul, son of the late John & Lanieta (Bowe) Richter. He was united in marriage to Ruby Mathes on Jan. 14, 1944 at Woodville. He farmed with his wife in the Town of Harrison until they moved to Brillion. He then worked at the Brillion Iron Works as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church in Potter. Delmer enjoyed raising Appaloosa horses and exotic beef cattle on his hobby farm. He is survived by his children, four daughters Joan (Allan) Behnke of Reedsville, Ardyce (John) Svatek of Brillion, Carol (Donald) Holtz of Forest Junction and Barbara (Stephen) Keltesch of Brillion, one son Glen (Sharon) Richter of Brillion, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, a sister Ilera Heckel of Appleton, a brother and sister-in-law Ronald (Linda) Richter of Forest Junction and many nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. Delmar was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Irene and a great granddaughter Hannah Geiger. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday July 23 at Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. The Rev. Marc Axelrod will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in Brillion on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
