Obituary

Delores "Lorrie" Shea, age 86, passed away peacefully at Oak Park Place in Menasha on June 27, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Lorrie was born in 1930 to Alois and Anna Huinker in Cato, WI. She lived above and worked at the A. H. Huinker General Store in Cato until after her marriage. On April 25, 1953, she married Francis Shea at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. They spent six years in St. Nazianz then moved to New Holstein where they resided for nearly 50 years. They lived at The Heritage in Appleton for five years before moving to Oak Park Place in Menasha this past November. Fran and Lorrie enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Lorrie was a loving wife, mother, grandma and a great-grandmother. She loved spending time with family. She was a great cook, who loved to bowl, dance, play cards but mostly socialize! She was known in her family for her quick wit and her famous "one-liners"! She was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and a 60 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Lorrie is survived by her loving husband, Francis; daughters, Nancy (Michael) Schumacher of Menasha and Susan (Andrew) Schuelke of Franklin; her son, James (Lori) Shea of Glendale; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Garrison, Todd Schumacher, Adam, Brianna and Collin Shea; and a special great-granddaughter, Vera Rose Garrison. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Terrance Shea; sister-in-law, Eleanor "Mutsie" Shea; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends, especially Norma Boll. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alois and Anna Huinker; sisters, Eleanor, Ruth, Marie, and Dorothy; brothers, Raymond, Harold, and Patrick; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Visitation: Family and friends may call at the church Friday morning, June 30th from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum near Manitowoc at a later date.
