Delores B. (Sabel) Vollmer, age 85, of New Holstein, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 with her family at her side. She was born March 13, 1935, in Marytown to Jacob & Alvina (Petrie) Sabel. Delores graduated from New Holstein High School in 1953. On January 16, 1954, she married Eugene Vollmer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown; Eugene preceded her in death on February 20, 2018. Delores was a member of Holy Rosary Parish in New Holstein and the Christian Women's Society. She volunteered in the kitchen at Holy Rosary Grade School and enjoyed baking for the students. In addition to her love for baking, was her passion to tending to her numerous flower gardens; of which she received many compliments. She is survived by her six children, Donald Vollmer of Brown Deer, David (Susan) Vollmer of Sun Prairie, Debra (Richard) Gilles of Chilton, Donna (Denis) Mayer of New Holstein, Dennis (Sandi) Vollmer of Pewaukee, and Dean (Sue) Vollmer of Kiel; 12 grandchildren, Derek (Karina), Gina (Aaron), Dustin, Brian (fiancé, Kylee), Kevin, Eric (Jess), Kurt (Samantha), Juliana, Lauren, Brianna (special friend, Gavin), Brett, and Kristi; six great-grandchildren, Dewi, Desmond, Beau, Blaire, Ryker, and Owen; her brother, David (Marian) Sabel; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Carol (Duane) Doede, Paul (Marilyn) Vollmer, Terry Vollmer, and Sue Vollmer; nieces; nephews, other relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob & Alvina Sabel; her husband, Eugene Vollmer; and two sisters, Margie Petrie and Adeline Hoefs. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, 1515 Plymouth Street, New Holstein, WI. Please adhere to current Covid guidelines.
