DeLoy A. Lackershire, age 87, of Weyauwega, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Willowdale Health Services in New Holstein. He was born, September 21, 1934, in Earl, WI to Claude & Phyllis (Daniels) Lackershire. DeLoy served in the Army from October 19, 1955 until October 22, 1958 and remained in the Reserves until October 22, 1961. On February 8, 1958, he married Karen Bailey in Sturgeon Bay. DeLoy worked at the former Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Karen; three children, Allen (Sheila) Lackershire of New Holstein, Debra (Butch) Cuggino of Kingsford, MI, and Randy (Lori) Lackershire of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; his sister, Lois Lackershire of Manitowoc; his brothers, Larry (Betty) Lackershire of Edgewood, IL; Ronald Lackershire of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter; 2 brothers; and a sister. Cremation has taken place and private services will take place. Inurnment will take place in Trego, WI at a later date. The family would like to thank the RN's and staff at Willowdale for all the care and support given to DeLoy.
