Dennis A. Senkbeil, 74, of New Holstein, was reunited with God on February 14, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.

Dennis was born March 2, 1949, in Sheboygan, to the late Arthur and Erma Senkbeil. Dennis was a Sheboygan native and attended several schools in and around the Sheboygan area. After high school, Dennis pursued several careers including Kohler Co, owning his own dairy farm, and bus driving for Valley Transport in Plymouth. But, he started his long-term career as on over the road truck driver at Filippo and Sons in Plymouth where he found his passion for the 18-wheeler and wide-open road that went along with it. He continued this driving passion at Johnsonville Sausage and finished his career at American Finishing Resources in Chilton where he retired from driving after nearly 30 years and having driven over 3.5 million miles. Even though his career led him down the road on 18 wheels, his true passion later in life, was always on stage as a Karaoke DJ. His personality and charisma would certainly touch every person at any venue that he played. It didn't matter to him if it was a small corner tavern or a large-scale wedding, he would treat everyone to the same show.

Dennis is survived by his sister Carol Radtke (Bob); his former wife, Liz; his children Dennis L. Senkbeil (Tracy), Brian Senkbeil (Heather), Ben Senkbeil (Stacy), Carrie Baumann (Judd), Andrea Senkbeil, Tanya Wetor (Brian), Ryan Wetor (Tina); his grandchildren, Bo (Paige), Braeden, Gabriel, Trevor, Logan, Jack, William, Larry, Matthew, Leah (Jacob), AJ (Virginia), Caleb, Alexis, Jayda, Marshall and several great grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Arthur and Erma; his brothers, Roger Senkbeil and Wayne Senkbeil; his life partner Donna J. Wetor; and grandchild Emmit.

He treasured his time outdoors and loved the November woods chasing whitetails, as well as his time on the water with pole in hand. But like many outdoorsmen might tell you, he didn't spend enough time doing either one.

Dennis left a lasting mark in the hearts of everyone he ever met. His quirky sense of humor and light heartedness always created bonds with people that left them unable to forget him. This was always evident by his ability to find someone he knew at any given place at any given moment. Even if he found himself trying to put a name to a face, they never did. The light spirited wit and caring heart that he brought to this world will be dearly missed. But we believe those hearts he touched will carry a little piece of him forward and continue his impact on this world.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Dennis' family at the Sippel Funeral Home on Friday, March 1st from 4:00 PM until 5:45 PM.
