Obituary

Diane (Kohlman) Ploederl, age 74, of New Holstein, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her home.

She was born October 31, 1949, to Robert & Lorraine (Diedrich) Kohlman. Diane grew up in St. Cloud. She attended St. Cloud Catholic Grade School; graduated from New Holstein High School and received her bachelor's degree in education from Marian College.

On August 11, 1993, she married Jack "Jake" Ploederl.

Diane dedicated her life to educating young children throughout various school districts. Even after retiring full time, she continued to substitute in the New Holstein School District for many years.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and attended the Perpetual Adoration at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton for 27 years.

Diane enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jake, on trips to casinos, visiting friends at their winter home at Vivante, in Punta Gorda, FL and many other destinations. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and activities.

Survivors include her husband, Jack "Jake"; her children, Nick (Jackie) Goebel of Franklin; JJ (Christina) Ploederl of Manitowoc , Jeff (Amanda) Ploederl of Phoenix, AZ, and Brian (Maria) Ploederl of Mishicot: her grandchildren, Hailey Goebel, Alexis Goebel, JorJa (John) Ploederl-Hutterer, Braden Ploederl, Jordan Ploederl, Teha Nguyen, Jaiden Ploederl, and Brianna Ploederl; her brothers and sister, Doug (Kathy) Kohlman of Fond du Lac, Dennis (Sue) Kohlman of Green Bay, and Debbie Stillahn of Highlands Ranch, CO; her brother-in-law, Gary (Dianne) Ploederl of Manitowoc; life-long special friend, Pat Ausloos; and former sister-in-law, Bev Goebel. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert & Lorraine Kohlman; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, George & Marilyn Ploederl; and nephews, Jason Goebel and James Stillahn.

A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Cloud Site, 924 Main Street St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap will officiate.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Diane's family at the church in St. Cloud on Saturday, August 10th from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM.

A reception will be held at the Altona Supper Club, 2306 Calumet Drive, New Holstein, WI 53061 following the Mass.

A memorial fund in Diane's name will be established for students pursuing a career in education.
