Dianne Ruhland, age 67, Kaukauna, was granted her angel wings on April 23, 2011, when she passed peacefully in her sleep. Dianne was born January 6, 1944 in Hayton, WI to Irvin and Virginia (McMunn) Kesler. She was married on April 24, 1965 to Paul Ruhland. Dianne passed just one day before celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary. They lived in Hilbert where they raised five children on their farm. Dianne was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who took great pride in her family, home and yard. She was a wonderful cook and baker and her husband, children and grandchildren will miss all her delicious homemade treats. She enjoyed following her childrens sports and music activities and followed them across the state as well as the country. Dianne was an active member of the Hilbert School Board for many years and she volunteered much of her time to the school and church of St. Marys Parish in Hilbert. She enjoyed gardening and adventured on many cruises with her husband. In more recent years, she cherished her time with her twelve grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Paul and her five children: daughter Amy (Michael) Baehman of Appleton; son Matt (Lori) Ruhland and children Trevor, Colton, Delaney; daughter Stephanie (Rusty) Shankle and children Mackenzie, Nikita, Keagan; daughter Carrie (Todd) Rydzewski and children Sawyer, Reid, Lauren; son Mark and children Kyle, Ryan, Owen and their mother Beth. Siblings: Roger (Pat) Kesler, Dennis (Barb) Kesler, very special sister and best friend Joyce (Dan) School, Virginia (Harlan) Wincentsen, Carol (James) Marois, Karen (Joe) Franczek, Donnie (Diane) Kesler, Duane Kesler, Janice (Bernie) Schmidt, Robert (Lucy) Kesler, Dean Kesler. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Joe Ruhland, Howie Fochs, Donna Jensen, Ruth (John) Moses, Donald (Alice) Ruhland, Leon (Pat) Ruhland, Barb (Bob) LeCaire. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; brother Carl Kesler; sisters-in-law, Rosie Fochs and Karen Ruhland; mother-in-law and father-in-law Anita and Isadore Ruhland. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 29 at 11:00 AM at St Katharine Drexel Parish-St Aloysius (St. Als site) 2401 Main Ave Kaukauna, WI. Father Jerome Pastors will officiate. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Thursday, April 28 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and then at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of mass. There will be parish prayer service at 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Diannes honor.
