Dolores Ann Eickert

March 23, 1939 — April 20, 2018

Dolores Ann Eickert, age 79, of Brillion, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 in Appleton, surrounded by her family.

Dolores was born in Manitowoc on March 23, 1939, daughter of the late Henry and Esther (Riemer) Behnke.  She married Robert Eickert on May 10, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Liberty.  Dolores and Robert farmed together on their farm in the town of Rantoul, and she also worked at various places throughout her life: Chilton Metal Products, Mom’s Place, Deer Run, Professional Plating, Inc., and as a poll worker for the town of Rantoul.  The number one priorities in Dolores’ life were her faith, her family, and her friends.  She loved to bake, enjoyed listening to polka music, playing sheepshead with card clubs, quilting, and donating her creations to various nursing homes and hospitals.  Dolores especially loved spending time with her family.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion, the Trinity Ladies Aide, and the Calumet County Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Robert of Brillion; their children and spouses: Steve (Sandy) Eickert, Gregg (Sheri) Eickert, Arlyn (Lorie) Eickert, Brian (Sharon) Eickert all of Brillion, Marcia (Vern) Krepline of Reedsville, and Lori (Mark) Krueger of Brillion; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren with four more blessings on their way; a sister, Beverly (Gene) Sonnabend of Brillion, two brothers: Willard (Eunice) Behnke and Henry (Diane) Behnke all of Manitowoc, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law;  Ronald (Glenda) Eickert, and Bonita Eickert, all of Brillion; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Holdena (Hackbarth) Eickert, her sisters and brothers-in-law: Evelyn (Emil) Carstens, Elmira (Earl) Preston, Doris Mae (Leroy) Laabs, one brother and sister-in-law: Harold (Geraldine) Behnke, two infant brothers: Arnold and Richard Behnke, and other in-laws: Charmaine (Harvey) Waack and Gerald Eickert.

Funeral Service for Dolores will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion.  The Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Thomas Fricke will officiate.  Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum in the town of Kossuth.

Friends may call on Monday evening, April 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion.  The visitation will continue at church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
