Dolores Ann Knoespel, age 84, of Ashwaubenon, died Saturday morning May 21, 2011 at Bellevue Retirement Community. She was born September 14, 1926 in the village of Potter to the late Raymond and Ruth (Bettner) Aplin. She graduated from Brillion High School. Dolores married Willard H. Knoespel on August 7, 1945. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2001. Dolores enjoyed dancing, eating out, flower gardening, playing cards, bingo and watching the Packers and Brewers play. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Ashwaubenon. She is survived by her children; Willard R. (Cheryl) Knoespel, Darla (Mike) Windorff, Warren (Julie) Knoespel and Wesley (Rhonda) Knoespel, twelve grandchildren; Garrett (Sara) Knoespel, Jesse Knoespel, Kate (David) Knauff, Cory (Carrie) Windorff, Eric (Heidi) Windorff, Michael Knoespel, Kyle Knoespel, Melissa Wichmann, Raychel Wichmann, Alexander Knoespel, Matthew Knoespel and Samuel Knoespel, seven great grandchildren; Allison Knoespel, Grant Knoespel, Blake Knauff, Brayden Schaeuble, Lyla Schaeuble, Shirley Windorff and Eden Windorff, three sisters; Betty (Royal) Becker, Darlene (Jerome) Mertz, Bonnie (Ken) Monte and one brother, James Aplin as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Eugene and Jerome Aplin as well as a sister; Janice (Aplin) Hartz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church in Potter. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Marc Axelrod will officiate. Burial will take place in the Brillion Community Cemetery. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
