Donald Adolph Schultz, age 74 of Hilbert, died on Tuesday August 2, 2016 at Chilton Atrium Post Acute Care. He was born on October 6, 1941 in Appleton, son of the late Adolph and Hilda (Gohre) Schultz. He attended school in Potter, St. Peters in Hilbert and graduated from Hilbert High School in 1959. Donnie worked as a carpenter before entering the U.S. Air Force where he served as a firefighter. He joined the Hilbert Fire Department before entering the Air Force and was the Emergence Government Director for the Village of Hilbert. After his military service, Donnie took a course in drafting at the Chicago Technical College where he learned to make house plans. He worked with his father as a carpenter and also became a dealer for Berg Farm Equipment, installing barn cleaners, silo unloaders and air moving equipment. He enjoyed cement work and installing barn cleaners. Donnie was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert, he was very active in the Hilbert Fire Department and served the community of Hilbert with much dedication and pride. Unfortunately, he was forced to retire because of health issues. He is survived by his brother Glenn (Connie) Schultz of Milbank SD. A brother-in-law Fuzzy (Donna) Jackett of Sheboygan and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents,, a sister Judith and a great niece Bethany Schultz. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hilbert. The Rev. Timmothy Heath will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Hilbert. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com
