Donna K. Bernard, age 63, of New Holstein, passed away Thursday July 17, 2014, at the Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.
The former Donna Spletter was born June 9, 1951, in Chilton to Donald Spletter and the late Madeline (Best) Spletter. She graduated from New Holstein High School in 1969.
On August 12, 1983, she married Larry Bernard at St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein. Donna was employed in her earlier years at the Calumet Homestead and later on at Elkhart Lake High School.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein. She enjoyed reading and playing cards with family and friends; and babysitting for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Donna is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughter, Carrie Allen; her sons, Tim Lisowe (Karen Mavis), Jeff Bernard (Heather Jansen) and Brian (Victoria) Bernard; six grandchildren, Jamie Maurer, Shawn Allen, Cullen Mc Ninch, Camden Mc Ninch, Lauren Bernard, and Parker Gau; her father, Donald (Carol) Spletter; sisters, Marsha (Jim) Lisowe, Paula (Dave) Feldner, and Kathy (Larry) Meyer; her brother, Tom (Lori) Spletter; sisters-in-law, Joan (Jerry) Broehm, Bette (Al) Buchholz, Sue (Tom) Muellenbach, and Jane (John) Korb; nieces, nephews, other relatives; and friends.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Madeline Spletter and mother-in-law, Anita Bernard.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at St. John United Church of Christ 2111 Church Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. James E. Werner will officiate. Burial will be in the Country View Cemetery in the Town of New Holstein
Family and friends may call at St. John United Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
