Donna M. Burg Donna M. Burg, age 74, of New Holstein died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. The former Donna Schmitz was born August 18, 1937 near Mt. Calvary in the Town of Forest. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Schmitz and Marie (Korb) Schmitz. Donna attended Holy Cross Grade School in Mt. Calvary and graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1954. On November 27, 1957 she married Delmar Burg. Donna worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein. Later, she was employed at Land O'Lakes in Kiel. She also worked at Phoebe Products in Kiel until retiring. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Holstein. Donna was an avid golfer and enjoyed walking her two boxer grand dogs, Barley and Lucky. Survivors include her husband, Delmar of New Holstein; a son, Ron Burg of San Francisco; three daughters, Laurie Collin of Menasha, Karen (John) Vanderwall of Wrightstown, and Sandy (Dave) Friess of Oshkosh; a sister, Rita (Mark) Schneider of New Holstein; a brother, James E. (Jean) Schmitz of Fond du Lac; and a sister-in-law, Dolores (Marvin) Buechel of Chilton. Preceding her in death were her parents; her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Ervin (Laverna) Burg; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald (Louise) Burg. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. in New Holstein on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 P.M.
