Obituary

Donna Mae L. Diefenthaler, 84, of Kiel formerly of New Holstein, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein. Donna Rach was born February 17, 1934, in Kiel to Hugo & Minnie (Nadler) Rach. She attended school in Kiel and graduated from Kiel High School in 1952. On August 17, 1957, she married Ralph Diefenthaler at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past August. Donna had worked at Roeck's Bakery in Kiel and Delta Publications. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein and the Daughters of Isabella. Donna is survived by her husband, Ralph; four children, Pat (Ron) Diermeier of Neenah, Linda (Tom) Lefeber of Howards Grove, Sandra (Mark) Allmann of New Holstein, and Dennis (Sheila) Diefenthaler of Kiel; eight grandchildren, Angie (Justin) Spencer, Tony (Britney) Diermeier, Eric (Ashley) Lefeber, Rachael (David) Zigterman, Jason (Melissa) Mathes, Alyssa (Keith) Suttner, Derek Diefenthaler, and Erin Diefenthaler; two step-grandchildren, Tasha (Chad) Paquette and Devan (Mariah) Hefter; 11 great-grandchildren; her brothers & sisters, Arlene (Harold) Schuessler, Ronald Rach, Marjorie Sass, Rosemary (Ambrose) Stephanie, Marvin (Chris) Rach, and Gerald Rach; her brother-in-law, Cliff (Pam) Diefenthaler. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding Donna in death were her parents, Hugo & Minnie Rach; a great-granddaughter; her sister, Bernice (Ernie) Kohlmann; her brother, Charles Rach; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Harold & Althea Diefenthaler; two sisters-in-law, Delores Rach and Yvonne Rach. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Following the Mass, Donna will be laid to rest in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
