Doreen L. Escher, age 60, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Thedacare New London Hospital.

She was born July 14, 1964, to the late Ronald & Jean (Kopf) Escher. Doreen graduated from New Holstein High School in 1982.

Doreen babysat for many area children for several years. She crocheted many baby blankets and other items; most were donated for raffles for the church, fire department, and other worthy fund raisers.

Doreen had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cat, Oliver.

Survivors include her sister, Cheryl Escher of Sheboygan; aunts; uncles; many cousins; and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ronald & Jean Escher; her two brothers, Gary Escher and Dale Escher; an infant sister, Anna Escher; grandparents; aunts; uncles and cousins.

A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue, New Holstein, WI 53061.

Inurnment will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Doreen's family at the Sippel Funeral Home in New Holstein on Sunday, October 13th from 1:00 PM until 3:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
